House turns down Bailout Plan

September 30, 2008 · Filed Under Economy · 1 Comment

Now that the house turned down the new proposed bailout plan you can bet your sweet bippy that President Bush will come back with ” We tried everything we could to avoid this economic downfall but Congress could not agree to get this bill passed, hey I did my part” or something along those lines. I certainty don’t know if this bill was the bill to save the day but after years of doing nothing are we suppose to believe a bill that was cooked up over the weekend is going to save our economy?

I guess we are going to find out what markets will do without a bailout. Are dollar is dying and the American dream of home ownership is going to be gone. Jobs are being outsourced to other countries, and what was our biggest wealth the equity in our homes is all but vanished. We have outrageous prices on medicine and health care due to our litigious society. We have all become good at pointing the fingers at each of the parties in who is to blame instead of working together as one, We as Americans got ourselves in this mess and we need to come together and figure out how to get out off it.

Presidential debate a real yawner

September 27, 2008 · Filed Under Politics · 5 Comments

I don’t know about you but I almost fell asleep during last night’s presidential debate. Everyone today is analyzing who won and who lost, I don’t think either one can proclaim they won. Mccain needed to win to gain ground in the polls in my opinion. Obama didn’t make his case about the change he is going to bring about but he really didn’t have to since he is ahead in the polls. Obama did seem to agree with John Mccain more than several times and the debate never really got heated.

I am starting to think Mccain choose of Vice President is starting to backfire and he is now keeping Sarah Palin locked up in a closet. I feel bad for Joe Biden nobody is even paying attention to him, I guess because he is not as sexy as Sarah.I would have to say this debate was more like a draw, I liken it to two boxers coming out and feeling each other out and not ready to throw the knockout blow so early.

Ed Hochuli mistake

September 21, 2008 · Filed Under Football · 3 Comments

I am sitting here watching all these NFL “experts” before getting ready to watch the Patriots game, They are still hashing over Ed Hochuli’s blown inadvertent whistle that cost the Chargers a victory. It is funny to me how we expect any game not to have bad calls or mistakes by officials. They expect officials to be perfect, well we certainly don’t live in a perfect world and it’s not going to happen.

Ed Hochuli Chargers

Ed Hochuli Chargers

Human error is something that will occur in anything we do. Everyone is a great official after watching a replay over and over and watching it in slow motion and super slow motion, these officials have to make a call almost instantly in full speed and in some cases the play is so close it could almost go either way. I guess if it happened to my team I would be upset and Charger fans are certainly upset but get over it already.

The best compliment to an official is to be unnoticed and Ed Hochuli certainly does not help his own cause with that, as he is one of the most known and popular officials in the NFL with his big guns and tight wearing uniform, there is even a website called What would Ed Hochuli do? My advice to Ed would be next game wear a baggy shirt and don’t visit San Diego for a while.

More Bandaids Please

September 21, 2008 · Filed Under Economy · Comment

More band-aids solutions from our government. Should we trust the people who helped us get in this mess?  The Bush administration wants to buy $700 billion in toxic assets? that sounds awful doesn’t it?
Now the government is bailing out the financial industry. Hasn’t the damage already been done? Is this the way the economy is suppose to work, give money away for cheap in turn creating false markets let people buy things they really can’t afford while wall street, investment banks, large financial institutions benefit then get bailed out when things go sour.

This plan is really going to help the average struggling homeowner or average American Joe? Everyone turned a blind eye to what caused the problems now we expect them to be able to fix it. We keep borrowing money from foreign countries at some point we are going to get cutoff. I believe we are just delaying the inevitable. What are your thoughts?

Congrats to Tampa Rays

September 21, 2008 · Filed Under Baseball · Comment

I live in Tampa now for six years but grew up in Boston and of course was born a Red Sox fan, I want to congratulate the Tampa Rays for clinching their first playoff birth in team history. Although A Red Sox fan I have grown fond of the Rays and can’t help but be happy for their team being such a big underdog in the same division with the two top powerhouse teams the Red Sox and Yankees.

I hope they will got more support as I am sure they will whenever you become a winner although I am sure they would get bigger crowds if they had a stadium in Tampa and not St Petersburg. It will be interesting if the Red Sox play the Rays in the ALCS that would be something. I wish I had the foresight at the beginning of the season to bet them I would be a rich man today.

How to profit from the coming economic collapse

September 19, 2008 · Filed Under Economy · Comment

The American economy seems to be in turmoil and appears to heading to a collapse. I am sure there will be a hundred of new ebooks and how to books on how to profit from the economic collapse. I am curious to find out what books are recommended and which books are garbage.

I have seen a few books regarding the subject on Amazon but I am sure this topic is going to explode soon with economic woes beginning to surface. We hear all the stories of how more people made their wealth during the great depression but will it be possible to make great wealth in today’s economy?

What book or authority would you recommend on this subject. Please leave a comment.

Please not another seo expert

September 16, 2008 · Filed Under Internet · 4 Comments

Not another freaking seo expert site. Ok I am no seo expert by any means I will tell you upfront. Although I optimize and design my real estate websites and rank well in organic searches I still will not proclaim myself to be an expert. I recently have been browsing through some sites on mybloglog and it is so freaking amazing on how many so called seo experts are out there. I see the same old tricks and seo methods and it just feels like each site is copying off each others site and is just the same old recycled information. One thing I will tell you is that if anyone thinks seo optimization is easy or can be done quickly is in for a rude awakening. Seo takes time as the search engines give weight to sites that have been already established and have authority regarding the information within your site. Read more

Concerned about our economy?

September 16, 2008 · Filed Under Economy · 5 Comments

Somebody remind me again what we accomplished in Iraq? Our economy is going in the wrong direction, our dollar is weakening, our government is trillions of dollars in debt, homes being foreclosed on left and right but we have won the war in Iraq. No worries however the two president candidates promise to provide us with health care, balance the budget, create new jobs and here is the kicker they will do it while lowering our taxes.

Change we can believe in you say? I can’t wait to see how they plan to accomplish this trick. I don’t even think David Copperfield could pull this off.The goverment is years away from depleting our social security. Wall Street investment banks going belly up, where does it end? This is just the begining as the dominoes are begining to fall and we continue to bandaid the problems.

Gas station price gouging

September 15, 2008 · Filed Under News · 1 Comment

Gas stations price gouging

I am happy to see Florida’s Governor Charlie Christ cracking down on gas stations who are attempting to price gouge. Here in Florida I ran into several gas stations that had ran out of gas. This was before Hurricane Ike even hit Texas. Now I am no genius but I find it hard to believe these gas stations were not able to get their supply of gas prior to the hurricane.

In fact Christ reported that Florida fuel supply was not affected by Ike. So if this is the case why are so many stations covering up their pumps and saying they are out of gas and jacking up the prices. You can bet your last dollar these stations have gas in their supply, they are just speculating they will be able to raise the prices after the hurricane hit and will make a pretty profit on the gas they had already bought at a much lower price. I personally am going to boycott these stations that have done this because I don’t buy this crap.
