4 Square Day Tampa Success

by Danny on April 17, 2010

Well the first ever national 4 Square day was a huge success with cities participating from all over the world. 4 Square day was thought up by Tampa resident Dr. Nate Bonilla-Warford aka NateBW via Twitter .

FourSquare is a geolocating application that allows you to check in on any given location at any time. You are also able to write comments and reviews about that particular business you check in at.

As a local Business you can offer people discounts for checking in their location and can be a great tool to advertise and promote specials.

The event was also a great way to bring people together sort of like a big tweet up or networking event.

4 Square Day sounds like an interesting application.
This is a great way to advertise a business and to get
get more people to try the services. Do you get
anything for writing reviews about the business?

I really wish I had a chance to get over there for Foursquare Day, we did take part in it and we now offer specials on Foursquare to our guests that check-in. It’s such an incredible business tool, especially with the new business user interface.

If anyone does not know about Foursquare by now, they should be checking in under a rock for the last few years. 4 Square has been one of the most popular social location apps out there. I just wish more such applications are available, so we can easily mingle among with more people and get more smarter.

FourSquare sounds like a really cool app, especially as a way for businesses to connect with customers. I’m definitely going to give it a try.

4 Square is really cool. But have you tried GoWalla? They both operate on the same concept and they’re even catching up on market share!
