Hmmm….I’m thinking my noFollow policy on my blogs. Probably just means some additional moderation to make sure I’m not inundated with spammy posts…..I had some pretty bad ones prior to shifting to noFollow.

I think dofollow blogs, and especially the new Keywordluv feature is a great way to build a great community online. In a sense it helps both parties out. Search engines love updated content, and active communities, commenting helps you do this. Additionally, those that comment love the backlinks it provides, so it really is an excellent way to help both parties out. I am developing my personal blog, and will definitely be installing KeywordLuv on it to engage in articulate comments.

As I know this issue can’t be solved out, because I know many people like mixed links as no follow and do follow but some prefer only do follow, mostly people say it just link, they don’t consider “Do or No” important thing is to examine the SE who they take these link, does they effect on your ranking, I experiment many website have only do follow links and they avoid no follow links, on the same other and I have examine sites with same position and having no follow links too. I mixed link strategy work better, but still confused, need to do experiment personally.

Relationships are mutual, one sided things don’t survive that long. Better to create a win-win atmosphere and let the visitors and commenters benefit with a backlink.

I agree. Even if you don’t intend to help anyone, then think it as give and take. People visit your site and generate traffic and revenues for you, they spend their time reading your posts and comment and add to the value of your site. Then, why not let them have a backlink? Let’s be honest and make fair deals.

Hey Danny,
You have a really good blog here and I enjoyed reading it. I also read a number of the comments and was amazed at the quality of comments that others have left. I like the benefits that a dofollow blog provides for the blog owner and the person leaving a comment. The owner of this type of blog has the right to approve or disapprove the comments left so there should be worries about losing pagerank. Anyway thats my opinion.

Since the Google Panda updates, page rank has diminished greatly in importance. It is hits and comments you want on your blog, and that’s why DoFollow is so important.

I was wondering about what is dofollow and nofollow cause i have no idea about what it is, and that’s what make me google it.. found your web link which explaining about it.. but i have one question.. which one is better? turning into dofollow or just remain the site as no follow.. is much better? will do follow effect my site uses or so? kindly assist me here thank you in advance.
