How many captcha attempts before you quit?

I travel to a lot of different websites and experience a lot of captcha codes. I was wondering what was the most attempts you have gone through and had to give up and move on? Some sites have easy to read captcha’s but some are very difficult to read, unfortunately this is a unnecessary evil that most website owners have to put on their site to keep spam from getting out of control. Please leave a comment I am curious what the most is.

    If I can’t solve a CAPTCHA within 2 attempts, I’ll give up and go away. Actually I usually go away permanently and make a specific point not to go back to that Web site. Ever.

    The sad thing is that CAPTCHA isn’t the only way to stop form spam and abuse; it’s a Web relic that fails 90-92% of the time. If you enjoy irony, ponder the fact that using CAPTCHA to stop form abuse just results in abusing more users.

    There is newer and more effective technology available for stopping form spam and abuse. Most sites just haven’t gotten on the ball quite yet.

    I am a little more patient when it comes to certain sites, have you ever tried yahoo games I think they have the hardest to read captcha sometimes it takes me five or six tries.

    without doubt one of the most infuriating things you can try do on the internet. Iv edefinetley gone over 10 tries on certain sites
