I have recently have been following some of the ladies of the Lingerie Football League on Twitter. I can honestly say I never gave much thought to woman playing football but when you put beautiful woman who are also very athletic and football together now you real grab my attention.
Although I have not watched a game yet I am excited that one of the teams reside here in Tampa called the Tampa Breeze and will play their games at the ST Pete times forum.
The lingerie football league is a seven on seven full contact football game played by beautiful woman in what else lingerie.
Here are the cities that host lingerie football teams and here is the lingerie league 2009/2010 schedule

Now this is the type of sports league I can get behind. A great idea that will attract big ratings i’m sure.
I had the pleasure of watching one of these when it was still a half time event. I havnt seen one since but lets just say that the one time I watched it; the pleasure was alll mine.

The women’s beach volleyball organizers must be getting very worried…some serious competition to their mantle of a sport with 2 parts sex appeal. I’d love to watch it live but don’t live in that part of the world..will it be on ESPN ?

Why don’t we have this in England. We love soccer (or football) over here so this would be perfect.
I don’t know about that, American football is much better for showing off lingerie. It is a contact sport with lot of static action. Women running around football (soccer) pitch passing ball would not be as sexy.
What will they think of next ? Hockey ?

Have you ever met any of them in person? A lot of the LA Temptations live in Hermosa/Manhattan Beach, and it’s definitely a party scene. I must say, those girls can drink more than most actual football players! Play on, Girls- it’s definitely entertaining.
I thought the lingerie league was just an advertising gimmick from one of the beer companies. I’d watch the LL instead of the superbowl tomorrow if they had a televised game.
Definitely wish we had this type of ‘football’ in Australia, as AFL just doesn’t cut this one.
