Thanks for this I currently use a few of these for my new blog but the super cache and wassup plugins are new to me so I will have a look at them.

You should add the WP widget cache plugin as well. In addition I think your readers might like the Platinium SEO plugin as it does both robots and what the all in one seo pack does in one. Can you go into more detail about the Dagon Design Site map plugin.

Great list, the plugin updater one may be redundant if you’re using WordPress 2.7.

Also, as someone pointed out to me when I spelled it the same way, it is actually Akismet

I had not heard about Wassup previously, and it seems that it is similar to Woopra, but as a plug-in. Tracking real-time stats can be somewhat useful, and it can also become a time-consuming habit that is not too advantageous. Nice list of Must Install Plugins! I have been having problems with Sociable. But also have found that Robots Meta does not with All-In-One-SEO-Pack. Robots Meta isn’t necessary with using a Robots.txt file.

Hey John, Yes I don’t have the google analytic plugin because I added the tracking code directly but that would be a great plugin for someone who does not like to mess around with the files.

I’ve been having major problems with the One Click Plugin updater since 2.6. Hopefully it will work better in 2.7 (or won’t be needed, I’m not sure if WordPress will have this feature integrated now or not). I would add Google Analytics plugin to your list – that’s one of my must haves.
