Hi Danny,

This is a good list of tips! Changing the permalinks is really important if you want to make the most out of the keywords that you have on the title of your post as well. Here’s my two cents on H1 tag though.

When doing on page optimization, in order of priority, having the keyword in the title is the most important thing to do. Then have the keyword in the meta description and then in the H1 tag as well. That keyword on the page in the content, can be bolded or italicized.

They also have blog finders that can find Do Follow blogs, but people still try and spam them. It ruins it for everyone, really. Since SEO is such a part of expansion, you would think there would be more of a courtesy than a spam-for-all. Why don’t you think Google has taken more action against sites like that and ones that Fish?

You know it took me a long time (longer than it should have) before I realized that I could change the postname structure. That definitely is the first thing to do now these days and works wonders with the google xml sitemap plugin.

One more thing I would add is in the “Writing” section of WordPress at the bottom you can add a pinglist. There is only one ping site by default and you can add many more which I’ve found is great for getting a site indexed quickly as well.

great tips. especially with the last one. I haven’t tried adding my blog through technorati yet, I’ve heard a lot about it, but never thought that it is too important to get indexed faster. I think I’m all set to go after reading this one. Thanks
