Ok tomorrow night I will attend my first Lingerie Football League game at the ST Pete Times Forum and get to watch my Twitter buddy Carie Small #17 kick some butt when her and The Tampa Breeze take on the NY Majesty. I wasn’t able to make the first home game and this is the Breeze’s final home game of the year. I mean, I can’t see anything wrong with the pictures! Or, maybe I’m looking at the costumes lol. This post made my day!
Abraham, I didn’t see anything wrong with the photos/costumes, either… not when I paused to think about it.
I’m a former (reformed?) fashion model, and I grew up in an era when the subject of women’s rights was a popular dinnertime debate. So, I sometimes fall into cliche reactions: This kind of display highlights women with bodies that no “average” woman could emulate, and it displays them in blatantly sexist costumes.
Then, I take a moment to observe what I’m saying, and realize that I’m taking life far too seriously.
It’s an old habit.
When I took more time to think about it, I realized that there’s nothing wrong with this. It is, after all, just fun and flippant entertainment for everyone involved.

My first reaction was shock. I didn’t even know this kind of sports/entertainment exists.
Then, I realized I was taking it all too seriously. (I think there’s a lot of that going around.)
As long as everyone is having fun… well, I’m not sure that I’d take my family to a game like that, but if my college-age son wanted to go, I’d probably laugh and say, “Sure, why not!”
P.S. On my Firefox screen, there’s no indication of what the third form field is for (after the Name & Email fields in the Keyword Luv form). It says Twitter ID next to the final form section, and Website is written beneath where I’d fill it in. I threw my URL in both fields.

Me too! I never realized there is a sport such as this. I mean, it’s not that it’s kinda weird for me but this is really an interesting one! If these ladies enjoy what they’re doing, then most probably this will be a great treat for people who are very eager to witness such kind of a sport.
Lingerie Football? Whoa! Never heard about it.. that would be so cool!!!!! Do i get to see sexy ladies in the field? Lol!
I’ve seen more and more info about the LFL recently. When you go, PLEASE take lots of photos. They’ll be a big hit. I wish we had a league close to me, as I would go.
I am a huge fan of the L.F.L. those girls know how to hit and they hit hard. You are so lucky to have a team where you live.

I saw this one hilarious tv clip where one of the lingerie players didn’t tell her boss about her participation in the LFL, and when she found out, she was like, “Hey I think I saw you on TV wearing lingerie playing football?!!” and the player/nurse replied, “Oh yeah it’s something I do on the side for fun.” LOL what a casual reply I thought.
I think it’s very enjoyable entertainment, though when I first heard about it I was surprised how wide spread many of the leagues are. Unfortunately, coming down to Tampa 2 weeks too late to catch the game. That’s the story of my life when it comes to timing

It seems very interesting football game not a typical banging heads but banging another part. It seems to me there are not on their lingerie.

On Game days the ‘PARTY’ will start early with thousands of Tampa football fans flocking to St. Pete Times Forum to take part in one of the country’s biggest tailgate festivities at the ‘Tailgate Village’ featuring LIVE Music/DJs, Beer Gardens, BBQ, Video Gaming Lounge, Cheerleaders, Football Challenges and Tampa Breeze Player Meet/Greets.
