Tiger Woods to miss The Players Championship
Tiger Woods sidelined because of knee surgery on April 15th will miss The Players Championship. The players are unfazed and some players say it doesn’t effect how we prepare for the Tournament.
Padraig Harrington said, “It doesn’t change my approach, I’ve got to play my own game.” It’s true you still have to play your game, but a big Tournament without the best player in the game isn’t quite the same.
Defending Champion Phil Mickelson said, “When he’s in the field, certainly that’s the first thing you look at on the scoreboard, is what did Tiger shoot, where does he stand.”
“That’s going to obviously be different when he’s not in the field. You don’t have that thought.” Tiger Woods won the The Players Tournament in 2001.
The Players Championship May 8-11 at Sawgrass Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl.

I know this is an ancient post but have you been following Tiger’s return? Whilst he might not have performed at his best at the match play golf championship but I think the snooze time for others pro golfers like Mickelson is officially over.
