Twitter Social Network Directories

by Danny on April 27, 2009

Finding new twitter followers can be a time consuming task, I like to use twitter directories to find new twitter followers and also post my twitter url in the directory so other followers can easily find me.

Wefollow This is my favorite directory which allows you to add yourself to three categories and you can choose the tag to best suit you.

Twellow is also a great source to find twitterer’s by category and geographic region

http://justtweetit.com Just tweet it is a twitter directory where you can add and find people by their interests.

These are three of the biggest twitter directories and a must have to be in if you are looking to gain more followers.

Wefollow works great because I can submit to as many categories as I like.

I’m yet to be convinced about Twitter. I know of some businesses that have had a success with it but I don’t think it’d work for our business.

Thanks for the tips I just got on twitter and was wondering how to find followers and people to follow.

I agree with the whole time-consuming task thing. I’ve experienced that first hand. Come to think of it, how would you know who to follow when you don’t know who’s on twitter?

I love the concept of a Twitter directory. That’s why I have to say that people should use MeFollow.

Nice set of tips. I’ve used wefollow before, but I hadn’t heard of the others. I will check them out, although, I am getting tired of the whole twitter phenomenon

Thanks, I think I’ll check these out. I’m not sure how much value there really is in me getting more Twitter followers, but I guess that all depends on how I use them.

Awesome – I had heard of these. I put myself in Twellow I believe but not in the Wefollow one. I’ll go add myself to those right now.
Another thing that I did was add words that would describe me in my bio that way when people search for other people on twitter they will find me.
Thanks for the heads up

I’ve been using twitter for a couple of months now. But, I still have very few followers and I wanted to find good people to follow. Thanks for sharing. Now I know how to improve my twitter.

I’ve been using Twitter since the beginning of the year and did use these directories to begin with, they are very useful indeed. I tend not to use them so much now, really they were a good initial way to get hold of a few thousand people from my niche. Things now progress happily on their own
