Twitter Hot Babe Avatars

by Danny on June 14, 2010

Ok now I know there are many Twitter accounts that use hot babes to try and attract people to their Twitter page, most likely the account is run by a bald toothless man named Bubba but this one I find particular funny http://twitter.com/annablake2 because 1) it is an Istock photo 2) They didn’t even pay for the photo and have the watermark still on it.

Ok here is the thing people it is cool (not really) if you want to pretend  you some hot babe and promote your product it is uncool to not put any effort or creativity into it. You are so cheap and lazy to use an Istock photo with their watermark all over it. I bet if I read through this Twitter stream it is going to be plastered with all kinds of spammy links. Let me know if I am right.

That is a very poor effort! Probably completely automated after being set up in a Bangalore sweatshop…

It’s more spam than promotion. I’m so sick of these accounts being made.

Isn’t it funny how goofy people are. Really did they not think we would know they were using a istock photo. I swear I think Jorgen and Josiah are right in their comments.

This guy/women could at least find a different photo, not this one with a watermark..

we have email spam, sms spam, newsletter spam and now this. and what a lazy or imbecile guy who made the account. Google search would have given a good unmarked pic. Have to go through my list of followers in tweeter

Hey my name is Bubba why do you insult my name… joke

I just read a great article about how everybody uses the same istock photos so you see them all around the internet. Everybody thinks they are smart by using that exact picture but the sad thing is about a 1.000.000 people thought so too.

Yeah, I really agree with you and in my opinion, it’s a bad practice and Twitter must take some steps to restrict its users only real pics instead of those of some celebrities. Even some people operating in dubai real estate have such a bad practice of using some fake avatars.

I have seen this before too. I think it is funny. I am one of those people who is a little shy about putting too much information online, especially photographs. But, using a photo like that is just too funny.

Maybe I should take a photo of my breasts and upload those as my avatar. Do you think I would still get more traffic and subscribers even though I am not especially gifted in that area?

That’s really funny . And very annoying for those who are going to receive spams through them. Atleast they should have taken some photograph with no watermark or copyright on them.

Haha – If I was going to use a fake photo I’d at least find one which didnt have the watermark on it! They obviously didnt want to spend any time on finding a fake picture at all…

Well that is really true as people all over the world do so but they do take care that the photo is not copy right protected or have any tag or watermark over it. Even I have come across some such profiles.

That’s just pure laziness rofl! I wonder if using a good looking woman’s face as an avatar really does work. I suspect it does unfortunately.

Hey that’s really really funny. What do they think of us that we are totally jerk and don’t understand these marketing stunts? They are fairly incorrect we people are smart enough to discriminate between the fair and true people.

Hey not everybody have a good charming face. But that doesn’t mean that you should place some hot snap for your profile and spam around all over twitter.

I never expected that we have such dumb people too around us who know that how to use twitter for marketing but don’t know that how to choose a good pic for their profile.

I guess there are many Twitter accounts that use beautiful girls in order to have an attractive account. Using an Istock photo (with watermark all over it) is really lazy. This kind of account cannot be taken seriously.

Bryci July 8, 2010 at 1:35 pm

This is one of those posts that is much better with a pic. To see that watermark on the photo… priceless. That is hilarious. Some dude probably took like 0.2 seconds to create that profile.

It is just a way to scam people and take all their moneys, or just a guy pretending to be some hot gal to lure other men. It is so sad to see that we don’t have any idea on how to stop this scams. It makes me think twice before considering that a hot chick is following me on my twitter account. =p

Too bad that the twittersphere isn’t totally composed of hot women……..now that would be cool! :)

That’s really funny. I just don’t want that twitter will be the source of heart attack. I said this because I’ve read in the article that scientists have found out that hot babes can cause to rise the blood pleasure of men. This is really dangerous. lol..

These people are jerks, and it’s just way too easy to tell that they’re fake accounts. Then again, I have my social media rules that I follow which bounces both fakes and people who aren’t really social on Twitter. I mean, put some effort into it! lol

The owner of that account was just out on twitter to use the name and image to get followers, then make money from the twitter account.

Apart from the hot avatar, they are always related to sites that in the real life would never count with such hot girls among their employees, and their posts are cluttered with typos and Paki-like grammar.
