Most people have the misconception that pagerank is the key to driving traffic to your website. This simply is not true. Pagerank is one element and it is not something that really needs to be focused on. When you build your website or blog you need to focus on creating good quality content and pagerank will come naturally. My real estate website went from a pr4 to a pr 3 and did not lose any traffic or drops in the serps. Just by doing all the things you need to do to drive traffic to your site your pagerank will increase in time.
