Travel Destinations for the Adventurous

It seems like everyone has a bucket list of things they want to do these days. The main theme in every single one of these lists is the need for adventure. Some are venturing off just because roller coasters are no longer enough and they need that adrenaline rush that brings them closer to nature rather than machines. Below is a list of some top travel destinations to get that adrenaline rush you seek.

New Zealand

New Zealand has beautiful volcanoes, mountains, rivers, and coastlines. Its no wonder this is many people #1 choice. New Zealand has a bit of everything for every person. You can go white water rafting, trekking, climbing, and in the summer skiing, snowboarding, heli-skiing, snowmobiling, and ice climbing are all very popular. If you decide to be little more adventurous black water rafting or spelunking will give you the opportunity to see the glowworm lit caverns and explore the many underground rivers in the Waitomo Caves.

Australia is the place for everything water sports related. You can do everything from sailing, to surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, white water rafting, jet skiing, speed boating, etc. The #1 thing to do in Australia of course is scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. If you chose to stay on land Australia also offers great biking trails, hiking, spelunking, and rock climbing at Ayers Rock and Blue Mountain. Be sure to also stop at the Australian Zoo! They also have Cairns Wildlife Dome and Cairns Night Zoo to see all animal activities during the day and at night (some animals very active throughout the night to conserve energy lost during the day because of the heat).

There isn’t one person who doesn’t want to visit this exotic land.  Brazil offers variety of different things to do. We’ll be aiming towards the life of it… The Amazon. The jungle tours and the jungle really changes the way you see things. Here you can see the thousands of different species of birds, trees, animals, and canoe to the wedding of waters. Where the black water from the Rio Negro meets the white water of the Amazon.

South Africa

South Africa attracts travelers from everywhere around the world. They have the highest Abseil (112 meters high on Table Mountain) and the highest commercial bungee jump in the world (216 meter drop off of Bloukrans Bridge). If you’re not interested jumping off anything than that’s understandable too. If you chose to go the non-scary route South Africa also offers rock climbing, sand boarding, hang gliding, mountain-biking, horseback, and hiking. Besides the African National Parks, private reserves offer opportunities for travelers to take a ride and see the elephants, lions, zebras, African Penguins, rhinos, leopards, etc as well as boat tours to see whales and great white sharks

Ahh Nepal… home of eight of the tallest peaks in the world. Nepal is proud of its mountain sports and rich culture. Nepal offers mountain climbing on the famous Mt. Everest as well as trekking, mountaineering, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, hot air ballooning, and paragliding. It’s also known for its rich culture and trails that offers you a full and personal view of everything beautiful in Nepal.
